Abstract
In order to simulate the biooxidation effect of an arsenic-bearing gold ore, column/pool bio-oxidation was used to study the gold recovery of this gold ore. The gold ore contains 1 g/t gold and 0.2% arsenic, with gold leaching rate of 36%. 2 t-level column leaching experiments showed that the oxidation effect of the ore at the bottom was better than that at the top. With the increase of oxidation time, the gold leaching rate increased. After 90 days, the arsenic and sulfur oxidation rate reached more than 60% and 50%, and the gold leaching rate was close to 80%. After 60 days, 0.5 t-level pool leaching experiments showed that the arsenic and sulfur oxidation rate reached 69% and 41%, and the gold leaching rate reached 83%. Compared with the bacterial circulation/displacement, the aeration can improve the oxidation efficiency and increase the gold leaching rate by 14%-22%. Arsenic oxidation had no delay period and the oxidation rate decreases gradually. wheres there was a delay period of 20-30 days for sulfur oxidation, and the oxidation rate increased first and then decreased rapidly. The variance of the Boltzmann model for both arsenic and sulfur oxidation were greater than 0.98. The results of the study can provide theoretical and practical guidance for the rational use of this gold mine and similar gold resources.
