Abstract
The outdoor thermal environment of a residential area plays a crucial role in determining the comfort of human life. Previous studies have focused on exploring the influence of internal environmental factors on the thermal environment of a residential area but neglecting the cooling effects of surrounding environmental factors, especially parks, and lacked exploration of the synergistic effect of multiple features. This study delves into the distribution characteristics of the Land Surface Temperature (LST) in Xuzhou with Landsat 9 remote sensing images. The LST of 148 waterfront green neighborhoods in Xuzhou City was extracted. Combining different softwares like ENVI, ArcGIS, SPSS, R, and Python, the environmental parameters which affecting the surface temperatures of residential areas including environmental parameters of residential areas, environmental parameters of parks, and joint environmental parameters are all analysed. The results indicate that the LST in the main urban area of Xuzhou City exhibits significant irregular spatial and temporal distribution characteristics. LST has the highest correlation with the environmental parameters of the residential area, and the park has a more obvious influence on the thermal environment of the residential area in winter and summer. The parameters related to building height in the environmental parameters of the residential area have a more obvious impact on the thermal environment inside the residential area. Considering the location of residential neighbourhoods, paying attention to the surrounding environment, and arranging the buildings in a pable way can help improve the thermal comfort of residential areas. This study provides quantitative suggestions for mitigating urban thermal environment problems.
