Abstract
Particulate matter in the workplace has a significant impact on environmental pollution and the health of workers. Accurate real-time monitoring of particulate matter concentration is essential for preventing and controlling environmental pollution. In this study, a new type of dust mass concentration detection instrument based on the coupling principle of light scattering and light absorption was developed. The instrument integrates light scattering and light absorption detection techniques into the detection device. Building upon the previous empirical formula, the fitting results of the two detection signals were analyzed using F-test and T-test. Finally, a mathematical model of optical signal-mass concentration was established, achieving a fitting R2 of over 0.90. Unlike traditional optical detection instruments, the filter belt optically coupled dust detection instrument can reduce the pollution caused by sampling dust on the optical components and enable automatic replacement of the filter membrane. After experimental verification, the detection model was found to be unaffected by dust type and particle size. A comparative experiment with the standard instrument TSI Dusttrak 8530 demonstrated that the measurement results of this instrument were reliable and stable in the concentration range of 0~300mg/m3, with had practical application value.
